tue. 29. may 2007 to 16. june 2007 | wed. to sat. | 6:00 pm to 12:00 pm blas payri:schaefferiennes - urbaines, 2005 - 2006schaefferiennes is a series of audio-visual works based on electroacoustic music. the title refers to pierre schaeffer and his studies on musique concrète in the 1950's. these had a substantial influence on electronic music and the audio play. in his work, payri explores the possibilities of schaeffer's concepts and their application to sound and image. the foundation of his work is the constant music, to which images filmed in madrid - thus the title, urbaines - conform. |
